NXP MPL3115 Element
The MPL3115 element is used to measure altitude and barometric pressure. This element is for using the NXP MPL3115A2 precision pressure sensor.
The MPL3115 is a sensor element that can be imported into the Element Toolbox through the Add Element button located in the toolbox from the Embedded tab. Rapid IoT projects have this element imported by default.
The following properties can be changed for the MPL3115 element:
The name of the element.
I2C Driver Instance
The I2C bus used to communicate with the sensor.
The I2C address the element sends data to.
Altitude Calibration Offset
The calibration setting to offset the altitude value.
Pressure Calibration Offset
The calibration setting to offset the pressure value.
The following triggers are available to execute events from within the MPL3115 element:
Execute an event when the source element connected to the MPL3115 triggers.
Execute an event when altitude data is read.
Execute an event when pressure data is read.
Pressure Read (kPa)
Execute an event when pressure data in kPa (kilopascals) is read.
The following abilities are available for the MPL3115 element when its source element triggers:
Trigger the element(s) that follow the MPL3115 element.
Enable the sensor.
Disable the sensor.
Set Enabled State
Set the state of the sensor: enabled or disabled.
Read the sensor’s altitude data.
Read the sensor’s pressure data.
Read Pressure (kPa)
Read the sensor’s pressure data in kPa.
