MikroElektronika Heart Rate 5 Click Element
The heart rate 5 click element is used to monitor a person’s heart rate or measure peripheral capillary oxygen saturation. This element is for using the MikroElektronika Heart Rate 5 Click board, which features an optical biosensor. When a finger is placed above the sensor, the sensor uses LED readings to measure the passage of blood in the finger. This LED data is then translated to a heart rate in beats per minute (bpm).
The optical biosensor on the Heart Rate 5 Click board is extremely sensitive to electrical noise. It's recommended to power the board via battery or with a reliable isolated power supply to ensure accurate readings.
The heart rate 5 click is a sensor element that can be imported into the Element Toolbox through the Add Element button located in the toolbox from the Embedded tab.
The following properties can be changed for the heart rate 5 click element:
The name of the element.
I2C Driver Instance
The I2C bus used to communicate with the sensor.
The GPIO pin that resets the board.
The platform-specific interrupt GPIO pin.
The following triggers are available to execute events from within the heart rate 5 click element:
Execute an event when the source element connected to the heart rate 5 click triggers.
Heart Rate Read
Execute an event when heart rate data is read.
Execute an event when a finger is detected above the sensor.
Execute an event when a finger is moved away from the sensor.
The following abilities are available for the heart rate 5 click element when its source element triggers:
Trigger the element(s) that follow the heart rate 5 click element.
Read Heart Rate (bpm)
Read the sensor’s heart rate data in bpm.
